Brief Introduction China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute was established in 1965. In 1980 ， with the development of the household electric appliance industry in China, our institute became a unique research unit for the household electric appliance industry in China. In 1999 ， during the reform of the science and technical system, the institute was approved by the corresponding national organization as a national key composite science technical service and intermediary organization of the household electric appliance industry . The institute is a legal unit of national institution. There are 22 professors, 117 senior engineers, 93 engineers including 7 professors who obtain the special subsidy from the government. The institute has strongest experts team and advanced equipment in the trade. It has accumulated profound experiences in the technologies and management. A just and science service system has been established with the focal point of the common technologies, by means of intermediary technical service. Its busyness includes testing, certification, standardization management, calibration and correction, research and engineering, information and media, professional skill training (appraisal), technical intermediary spreading, etc. The institute has established wide communication and cooperation with the domestic and overseas appliance enterprises, certification organizations, and relevant universities. National Calibration Station for HEAs (Center) Calibration center, a National calibration station for HEAs, is a unique station in China, assessed and authorized by AQSIQ for calibration work in HEAs industry. The station has established various standards for calibration of general or special use. The station provides high quality site calibration and provides calibration trace ability for the HEAs enterprises to meet the requirement of customers. Secretariat of China Household Electric Appliances Standardization Center and its technical committee The Department of standardization is a secretariat of China Household Electric Appliances Standardization Center and its technical committee. It is also the secretariat of IEC TC59/61 and its technical subcommittee and secretariat of ISO TC86, SC3 and SC5 in China. Service including: Standards: domestic and overseas standard work. Organizing amendments of HEA standards system (including environmental protection, health, network and trading, etc.) Proposing and reviewing the amendments of national or industrial HEA standards and educating Evaluating industrial and enterprise standards Consultation Service : organizing domestic or overseas expert group to provide special commercial service for the domestic or overseas enterprises or organizations. In our institute there is a “ Standardization Institute of Light industry”. It consists of a “ Standard Research Center”, a “ Standard Information Center” and a “ Publishing and Distribution Center”.
